Great chapter! I can't believe how much you got in here. Really intese and emotionally powerful. I hope Harry gets to see the vial from Tonks soon. Wonder why Remus didn't want him to see it?
And I wonder when Irma will let the memory that she has from Lily out?
AND you gave us a cliffie! Argghh...not sure whether you should get a howler or not for that! :P LOL

As a former librarian, I am happy to hear that Irma will be in upcoming chapters of the story. She rarely turns up and I am looking forward to reading what part she will play.
I thought Harry would eventually have to tell the rest of the boys in his room about Toby. More and more people are finding out about him. I wonder if they can all keep the secret?
I am glad that Neville knows about Toby. Neville is sensible and can help keep an eye on him, too. The snow fight was a good scene. Harry's revelation of how often he leaped before he looked was good, too. Caring for Toby is giving Harry some new perspectives.
I'm glad that Toby will get to go to Hogsmeade. Harry is so busy with school that it doesn't sound like he always has time for him so Hogsmeade will be a nice treat. I am looking forward to more about the change in Harry's patronus as well.
Interesting first chapter. I am looking forward to learning more about Toby.
