I like how Severus has got the legal-eagle on the case now, and if I'm interpreting the little hint right, are the papers that Severus is referring to, perhaps, adoption or guardianship papers?
I've very much disliked Minerva's attitude towards and her biased actions toward Harry and the other Slytherins. She deserves what is likely coming to her!
BTW, in the following sentence, I think you wanted the word "propitious" instead of "precipitous".
"Well, then it is rather precipitous that you are going to begin learning how to occlude," Severus said at last, giving Harry the slightest of encouraging smiles.

This is an awesome story! A bit disgusting and warped in parts, but overall a great story! I like that Moody is part of Harry's little "family" in the story.
