    Severus seems to be trying to convince himself that Harry's injuries aren't too serious. Seeing the arm wound and the burns should change his mind. Hopefully, Harry isn't so shocked at seeing Snape that he won't show him his wounds.

    Harry sounds like he is in bad shape. I'm a bit surprised that no Order member was watching the Dursley home. They must have had Mundungus Fletcher there and he took off for parts unknown instead of standing watch.

    VERY GOOD STORY! Please update soon. Also can you please find a way for Severus to find out Harry is his son? You don't need to do anything like transform Harry, but it would be neat! I also know that this would make the story kind of turn away from canon, but please have Severus or Harry (or with team-work) find a way to keep Prof. Dumbledore alive and fully healed. Maybe when Dumbledore visits Harry in the hospital wing, Harry unknowingly uses his magic to heal him and destroy Snape's Dark Mark and destroy the Unbreakable Vows tying him-this way he later comes to realize that even without his vows he -for some reason-enjoys protecting Harry. Doing this would set him on the path of finding out he is Harry's biological father! Oh as for the hair you could have Dudley do something to Harry that would make his hair so unruly. OR even have Vernon and Petunia never showing him how to properly groom his hair? Just a thought.

    Well, first off, thanks so much for your review. I'm so glad you've enjoyed the tale so far.

    Those are quite the suggestions... and though I appreciate that you went to the trouble I have to say that these directions in a fic are often the very reason why I stop reading someone else's fics.  I don't like the premise of Snape being Harry's father generally... but will read if the ideas are unique and believable, and I don't buy into a specially powered Harry, so having Harry cure DD and get rid of both the Dark Mark and UV is not something I could contemplate including in my fic.

    My angle with most of my fics is to take my plot idea and wind it through as much canon as possible, with a particular emphasis on realistic scenarios/dialogue, therefore the above ideas become even more unlikely.

    Nevertheless I appreciate your interest in my fic.  I hope you keep reading and enjoy the direction I do take.

    I like that you included the conversation between Dumbledore and Snape from Deathly Hallows, and Snape's reaction; I always felt Dumbledore's reasoning why Snape (and not Draco) had to kill him to be quite callous.
    I think Harry had better tread lightly there... Snape's not going to be happy to be asked about Lily by the "Potter brat"!

     I don't generally 'like' to steal, er borrow, other's works, even canon when it's word for word, but this was just too good a moment to mess too much with.  I'm glad you could appreciate it in the context of this fic. (Now this comment makes more sense ;) )

    Yes, I thought DD saying that to Snape about protecting Draco's soul was awful too.  I see what he meant, but still, it must have stung a bit before he explained.  And of course DD could be wrong... murder just might be murder from a soul's pov, no matter the justification.  Quite a risk Severus is taking in that respect.

    Yup, Harry will need to be clever to get answers... it might just all be in the timing... ;)
