I like it! Harry as Snape's apprentice is a great solution to the problem.

One technical comment--near the end--durring the "Snape/Dumbledor conversation" it became a bit challenging to follow--unclear as to who was speaking and what exactly they were talking about. You might watch that in the future.

    Thanks for the update!
    V.

Author's Response: I know what you mean - I wasn't quite happy with this part of the chapter either, but couldn't think of another way of having Snape recall his conversation with Dumbledore. Maybe I should have made it another scene altogether. Thank you for the concrit!

Another enjoyable chapter. Those Malfoys are very slippery, aren't they? ;) Thanks for posting so quickly.

Author's Response: Oh yes, Lucius and Narcissa are quite the social strategists... thank you for reviewing!

*grins and perks up* Apprentice? I'll take that one! I cannot wait to see how that conversation goes. Go Sev!

Author's Response: Yeah, go Snape :)! I don't his new responsibilities have quite sunk in yet ;)... thank you for reviewing!

Yea! Harry is alive. Sev needs to work on his self esteem though (I mean that as a compliment to you. In reality, it is very likely Sev, even in the books, has a low opinion about himself as a person due to his father's abuse).

His devotion... you also captured that beautifully! No wonder Harry is lucky to have him.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! And I agree, for all his outward confidence, Snape has a rather low opinion of himself... I'm glad I managed to get that across! Thank you for reviewing!

Love Harry's slip about his rival house great chapter

Author's Response: Thank you! I have to admit that I agree with Snape - Dumbledore deserved Harry's answer after his remark on "Gryffindor traits" ;).... thank you very much for reviewing!
