These chapters are amazing as is the rate you are uploading them. Thank you. I don't usually read WIPs, but the original plot has captured my interest. This is one of the few Harry-Severus fanfics I've encountered that isn't predictable. I love your characterization of everyone but especially of Draco and Albus.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind feedback! Draco and Albus are two of my secret favorites - I can't dislike Draco even in the books, and I really enjoy writing Albus, so thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

i like your story but from this chapter i fear people will look on all christians this way when this just isnt the christian way... catholicism in general has always been really harsh. my husband is a baptist pastor and despite suspicions of some people we know being seriously evil weve never tried to exorcise somebody lol. for us its all abou love and tolerence in the love of christ for all people

    Author's Response:

Thank you for reviewing! Let me say first that I never intended any discrimination against Christians or Catholics (I hope my Author's Note showed that!). Many of my friends are Catholics, and I know they'd never hurt anybody that way.

That being said, "Exorcism" wasn't so much about religion than religious fanaticism. And religious fanatics have done horrible things - not only during the witch hunts of the 17th century, but also with today's attacks on gays, women, "non-believers" etc., anyone whom they feel God has made "inferior". Father Pius is that kind of person - the fact that he believes he is doing "the Lord's work" justifies everything he does in his eyes. I'm not trying to say that all Christians are like that - not at all! But I do feel very troubled about fanatics of all religions, and I think that's why I wrote this chapter the way I did.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts!

Thank you for the new chapters! I hope to see more in the future ;]

Also, I hope that we continue to see Harry struggling to adjust for some time. I hate seeing fics where everything is solved in a few months time. Or even a year. Those kinds of things leave more than just physical marks.

    Happy Writing,
    Adrienne

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! You're very right about traumatic experiences lasting longer than a few months, and I hope I'll manage to show that Harry has not suddenly transformed into a perfectly happy child at Hogwarts. Thanks for the feedback!

So happy to come back not to one, but two chapters! I love protective Snape, and Draco and Hermione's budding friendship. And the last chapter was seriously like a horror movie, I swear I could hear the ominous music in the background.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the last two chapters - I tried to put a dark note into "Exorcism", so I'm glad I managed to get that across. Stay tuned for more Draco and Hermione in the upcoming chapters :)! Thank you for reviewing!

Great chapter! I love how you are pacing the development of the relationships.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm very glad you like the pacing of the story - it's usually one of my weak points in writing. Thank you very much!

love the slytherin side of Harry :) he can manipulate that is for sure

and Severus is actually slowly letting his guard down which is even nicer.

Author's Response: I'm glad you like Snake!Harry - he's fun to write! And I'm glad you like Snape's development (although he's in for a test in the upcoming chapters...). Thank you for reviewing!

I love Snape's last line. It's so true; kids aren't subtle at all! I'm glad to have Hermione and Draco back in the scenes and keen to find out how Snape and Dumbledore will decide to deal with their unwelcome visitor.

Author's Response: No, not even Slytherin kids ;)! I'm glad you like Hermione and Draco; I love writing them. Thank you for reviewing!

Just a thought... for Harry, hiding and hording food makes perfect sense. I don't see any reason to convince him otherwise. Why not just go along, matter-of-factly make sure he can horde as much as he pleases and support the endeavor to the extent that he finally begins to see it's unnecessary. After all, it doesn't make sense to stop unless he *knows* he doesn't need to keep it.

As for hugs, maybe Snape will be able to give those as well someday and learn that it's not an "either/or" proposition. He can give a hug and still give security and concrete help.

    Author's Response:

You're right on both accounts - Snape has a lot to learn. As for the food hiding, I think it's because Snape is a very rational person who is used to reasoning things out. He'll come to understand in time that sometimes, other channels of communication work better.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
