i think on the holiday snape forgot that his own name is becoming infamous for his connection to harry

two children really is twice as hard

you can tell that dumbledore never had or raised kids or he'd know how unfair and ridiculous it is to just dump a child on people who are prepared for and handling ONE and expect it to be other than a disaster

yes i am also talking about petunia 

keeping track of one is a hell of a lot fucking easier than keeping track of TWO 

and severus didn't even have seven months (parents often don't find out until two months in) to prepare for being a father! it's hard enough for him to control his temper and be gentle 

and neville will need especial gentleness to come out of the shell his grandmother bashed him into

i cannot fucking believe dumbledore's temerity in basically saying to snape here you have a kid now you have two and one isn't even yours how hard could it be??

and neville will need attention that harry, who only JUST got a fucking parent and is still traumatized as fuck, desperately needs! he's going to resent neville soon enough and a kid like harry needs so much time and attention

asking snape to teach at hogwarts instead of just asking him to brew potions for the infirmary or whatever which involves an incredible amount of time in the classroom and out of it is unfair and will already take him away from harry more than he should be

also neville is just what going to be plopped into this situation no prep nothing???????
