I enjoyed the holiday interlude, but it's nice to get back to the letters. They give so many extra snippets of information. I am so glad you put the ending you did to MOI. Even with all the fun bits, you are so good at creating a feeling of foreboding and desperation that I really do need to know that Snape and Harry will survive so as not to chicken out of reading further.
Author's Response: I know exactly what you mean and would probably have "chickened out" myself my now had I been a reader who didn't know how it all "played out" in the end...

Excellent chapter. Very, very sad, though, even though I know that Harry and Severus will both survive (in your story, thank goodness!) and will end up happy. You portray their emotions so well that I, the reader, am totally caught up in them.
Amazing story.

My king, my king is dead. Don't know where that comes from. I just picture Richard Harris, both as Arthur, then as Dumbledore. Hard to reconcile the differences, isn't it? As Rickman is Snape, so too was Harris Dumbledore. I hope I am not confusing you. Kudos on a chapter well done.

Another great chapter. I loved the imagery of Harry and Snape driving together down the road singing songs. Songs which meant something different to both of them, but meaningful to both.
