On a side note; I never thought about Flitwick as anything other than a bubbly professor..I like that you make him feisty! It gives him depth!

Oh great chapter oh mighty writer! :P Loved this one so much - the interactions of the professors and students in the sessions, plus the notes the professors write to each other are priceless! It makes for such a great story, that I have a hard time waiting for the next chapter to come out! :D
I also loved the explanation of the tree dancing - and that Snape has rhythms too. :))
A couple favorites from this chappie:

And "Hermes" ROFL! I am happy that Hermione calls Harry a "brother" as her "family" - I wonder if Snape is part of that too, and she is hesitant to say so; it was looking that way to me for a minute there...and I did wonder - does Harry see her as a him, because she is so tough/tomboyish, or is it because he really doesn't know?
Also enjoyed Ron helping Harry out too. Good for him!

I really like how you ended up writing the altercation. I'm not gonna lie, you had me wondering after your response to my review;)
I really love that you have created such a unique story. And, I'm also really excited where Harry's magic is going to take him, I wonder if maybe he feels free-er with his 'non-school' (the tree dancing, feeling Severus' rhythms) because he's away from his family?
Just a thought...anyway, I really cannot wait for the next part!

i think this is my favorite story right now! i love this closer look at the first years and their teachers - knowing what they're thinking. and the relationship between harry and snape is pretty special. keep up the good work. also, i thought you might be interested - i tried the hogwarts house test listed on your ff . net page. turns out i'm overwhelmingly gryffindor. huh. i would have sworn it would have been hufflepuff. was a fun test though - thanks for the link!
