Very entertaining. I could just picture Snape eagerly pouncing on a new potion as a way of proving Albus wrong, and you conveyed a great lazy summer feeling later on. In my head Harry had clocked that Russ was Snape even before the polyjuice wore off, but half the fun is not really knowing.

    Author's Response:

Thanks you for the compliment.  I'm glad that you liked it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Harry was on to him earlier as well.  Severus will always be Severus, no matter his age, right?

Love the conversation between Severus and Harry! And Severus still sounds like himself despite being de-aged. Which might have made Harry slight suspicious even without the Polyjuice wearing off, as I doubt he knows anyone else who talks like that.

This is a brilliant story idea, like a conversation they can have about each other without admitting it to the other.

    Author's Response:

Thank you again.  I really enjoyed the conversation between the two, so I'm very glad that others did as well.

In my mind, Severus would always sound like Severus.  No matter his age.  I'm glad you are enjoying the story.

You manage to portray Severus so well here, and really get into his mindset. It's a great first chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you so very much.  That's quite a compliment, Toria!

Hm. I can see Snape obsessing over a detail like this. How foolish he would feel if Harry, indeed, had the upper hand in Surrey, after all. Having already suffered the indignity of being proven wrong about the boy's character, I don't know if he could have survived it, lol.

Very well done with this story, CeeCeeMee, and thank you for sharing it with the us for the fest! =D

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  Thanks for all the great reviews.

    Loved this part:
“And see images in the clouds, no doubt.”
    “How did you know?”
    “It seemed to follow.”

Also, I loved the use of the prompts in this chapter. I never would have seen that line being delivered humorously.

Author's Response: Thanks!!  I really liked the idea of using the line is a positive way.

I'm glad to see a wizard concerned about the delicate balance of ecosystems. A conscientious potion master, indeed! XD

Author's Response: He strikes me as the type who would be aware of the dangers.  I'm glad you liked it.

It seems that Snape has fallen into the futile task of proving Dumbledore wrong...

Author's Response: Yeah, silly man.  :-D
