I loved the imagery of little Harry, with his faded orange cap, playing on the shore with Severus standing like a sentinel on the cottage porch.
I can’t wait to return to Bell Point. It’s been too long…
I love this story, so I’m back for another read. Thanks so much again for sharing it.
This was a brilliant read. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Excellent story. "You're my Anne" almost made me cry. As someone who's read AoGG many times, I understand just how important that statement was. Their little path work family was so sweet. I'm glad Ron took it well, as he overreacts in a lot of fics. Snape learning to cope with his injuries was really well done. Thanks for sharing!
Huh. Interesting start. I wonder how Harry's physical age might affect him? He may retain the memories and knowledge of a fifteen year old, but will his less-developed mind simplify some emotions? Or will different hormone levels result in different emotional reactions to certain memories or stimulus? I can't wait to see what you've done with this.
As for Snape... poor man. That would be awful, to lose dexterity. For a man who prides himself on his quick draw, delicate potions skills, and dueling abilities, I'm afraid that he'll have a very difficult time adjusting.
Thank you for sharing this story!
I love Anne of Green Gables, so I have loved your inclusion of it in this story!
Wow! What a page-turner! I read the entire story in just two days! I do feel guilty that I neglected to review the earlier chapters, but I couldn't NOT leave without commenting on the story as a whole. I was amazed at how authentic Harry was as a 4-year-old; from coloring, to adopting Buttons, to "swimming" on the kitchen stool, to swinging high enough to grab a leaf -- every action is perfectly believable and wonderfully detailed! And the way little Harry wormed his soul into Severus' heart is exquisite. To see the lightning fort, the boggart rescue, the colored dragon flying across the page, and Severus' condemnation of Great Aunt Isobel's discipline just builds the foundation of their relationship stone by stone. Ultimately, it's as rock solid as Hogwarts. Wonderful, too, that Severus is able to open his heart to Hermione, after her devastating loss. I did mean to ask (and I can't remember which chapter this detail was in) what exactly Harry found (under the sofa?) that upset him so badly that he ran outside and threw it as far as he could. Maybe I missed something, but that had me puzzled. Anyway, splendid story through and through! Thank you so much! 🐢
I like the way you show the similarities between Severus and Harry. (And just finished reading the story for the second time…)
I loved the ending to your amazing story! Those last lines were perfection. Thanks for the incredible read.
