- I really like this story a lot! Finally something that differs from the usual "Harry got abused by the Dursleys and Severus saves him" stuff you read here all the time.
There are a few things that seem a bit unrealistic to me, but it's still in a limit I can take, especially as I think that Severus is very well in character. Harry, too I think.
I do hope you still plan on continuing this :)

- I do not like cliff hangers...it's so good to see the other Natural Disasters stories out there...I tend to get motivated when I read them and then I start typing...

BTW Why can't Albus send Fawkes for food?
A phoenix can lift a lot of weight (canon), so why not have him raid a muggle grocery for bread & fruit with an expanded basket/bag?
Or at least have Fawkes 'flame' people to the drier parts of the castle?

- Ah! I don't know why, but I was beginning to think that the monster was actually good. Obviously, I was dreadfully wrong, since it's tried to drown Harry and choke Severus. :(
