I thought this was one very needed chapter. I liked the way this played out for the characters. I thought that was a wonderful scene with Snape and Lupin.

I like the way your story is developing. Excellent twists. Poor Harry. Poor Ian. Poor Snape. Lovely angst!

I was impressed with the chapter. Realize that your child is afraid is very strong. But the truth is that Severus did too many things wrong to get something different. Harry makes me sad, the scene where he cries is very sad. Today I had a very happy day and come home and see that update, it was a great end to a perfect day. Please keep writing, I love this fic.

I know I'm echoing some others when I say that, writers block or not, you managed to write another fantastic chapter.

Anyway, hopefully now that Harry's insecurities have been made so blatantly clear to Snape (and now that the evidence of the Dursleys' treatment of him is getting proven once and for all), the man can finally break through the remaining borders he has erected around his heart when it comes to Harry.
In this chapter, each time Snape was presented with the harsh truth, he felt sick and uncomfortable. Well, that is a sign of a true transition about to happen in his feelings, but the fact that he still refers to the boy as "Potter," proves that there is still a wall between his complete acceptance of Harry as his son.

So yes. Much more left to happen, and I can't wait :)

It sounds like Severus is going to have to tell Harry that he doesn't hate him anymore. He's been avoiding it and now it has to be done. If only Harry will listen. He has himself all wound up about what he heard so it may not be easy. Harry and Ian have been getting along better so maybe Ian would be a help.

Aw, poor Harry. I wish that he'd opened up to Snape what he heard, so that Snape could reassure him.

I hope that they can get past this. Great job with progressing the story and having the characters grow.
