    My guess Parchment and Quills. As a student you can never have enough notebooks - esp for doodling and rough-work - and pens. Also maybe a handbook on correct usage of writing with a quill :p

    Meant for my last review about how I liked that Lilly can sometimes offer comfort to be with this chapter. I enjoy your story - curious that Cecil is worried about Ian's loneliness when spending Christmas as usual with his Dad. Maybe he could suggest being kinder to Harry and maybe making a friend of his brother. He hopefully could see Ian was in the wrong over the summer and Harry was alone. Great writing as usual. Thanks!

    Great chapter! Wow are brooms expensive or maybe professor/potion master's don't make as much as I thought they would. Can't tell if it is just Snape's perception or not but I thought an earlier chapter said this Harry was near the top of class not just slightly above average. Anyway great chapter! Realistic reaction from Harry so curious how it will be received. Thank you for sharing and writing

    I have not reviewed before but am enjoying the story very much. I do not think Snape buying a Christmas gift is too much but I do think that him even considering buying a broom is too much too soon. I also think the idea that a broom would be more than a years salary is just off. Maybe a months salary is what you should have gone for. I am curious to see what happens with Harry declining the invitation. This might be a wake up call to Snape about how he treats Harry. Keep writing, you are very good at it.

    perhaps you can make the chapters longer? i love this story and waiting a week for it and only reading short chaptered updates is not enough. i cant get enough of this story and i wish you'd make it longer. other than that you are doing a fantastic job writing it:) i always look forward for your updates:)
