Great chapter! No, you are definitely not moving too fast. The thing with fanfiction is that we already have a lot of exposition on the characters from the books and other fics, so I love fanfics that get right to the action and don't just repeat the books too much. I think it's great that harry declined, I feel like to many of these stories make harry accept snape after one quick apology, but he has lived in the knowledge that no one wanted him for years, so it is really realistic that he would have a lot of doubts and anger at first. Looking forward to the next chapter!

I don't think he should get anything too expensive, sinceIan might get mad,also it will let Snape know that even though he had made an attempt at getting to spend some time with Harry over the past months he is not really getting to know him.

Good chapter. Personally, I think it is nice that Snape is trying alittle bit to change his ideas, but I want himto suffer a little. I know, I'm vindictive, but he has treated Harry abominably and I'm glad that Harry is not trying to make Snape his father. Snape needs to realize how many misconceptions he has about Harry and to feel guilty about his treatment of his unacknowledged son. Nice that he wanted to buy him a gift, but that's not enough.
Good writing, good plot.
I think you are pacing it well. Snape is starting to think of Harry as his son now and it would be natural for him to have a Christmas gift for him. It would have been awkward to invite him for Christmas and not have something for Harry to open while Severus and Ian opened their gifts. Hmm. What to get Harry - a wand holster, books on defensive magic, a good winter coat with warming charms?

the pace of the story is perfect. it is neither fast nor slow. i love how snape is not buying him the broom, i mean you would think a father who just met his son would buy a gift that suits him best but it's snape lool. i cant wait to see snape's face when he sees sirius' gift to harry (firebolt) and harry's reaction to it too:) i am glad hes not spending christmas with snape and im hoping he'll celebrate it with remus.
