This chapter made me cry. Well done!

Glad to see that Snape is finally getting a tiny bit of a clue.

Great chapter. Wish it was longer but really happy you've updated . Finally Snape is starting to follow the clues and is getting suspicious. But you're right about a slow road. Snape will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to finally see the truth and admit he's been wrong. Hope he straightens Ian out without increasing Ian's hate of Harry. Maybe catch Ian trying to set up Harry again and get caught red handed - then try to explain to Ian about maybe being wrong about Harry. But first Snape has to admit that he was wrong since its been snapes behaviour and actions that influenced Ian. Would love for Snape to finally find out about that night in the dungeons. That seemed to be the point where Ian turned against Harry when Snape unfairly accused Harry of bullying Ian.

Sending a prayer for you and your Mom.
    Take care

Finally! Snape'll snap out of it. But as you say, slowly. Please don't let Harry be instantly forgiving though. He's lived a life of abuse, and Snape has shown that he is JUST as bad as the Dursleys. His trust in the man has gone from 1 to negative 4 since he's arrived, or at least should have. It ought to take some time before Harry warms up to him.

PLEASE get some sense into them soon. The boy's family freakin' moved without telling him. No one, even someone completely stupid and overridden with anger, would believe that someone would do that to a child simply because 'he deserved it.' I'm honestly getting really frustrated reading this story just because it drags on so.

Ian started to be a plain bully. I hope he will get caught before he do something more terrible (like destroy Harry's photo album or something like that). Or I'm curious if Ian will do something so terrible witch get Harry hexed.
I don't envy Harry his "punishment". I know from my own experience how can be chopping wood strenuous - blisters on the palms, sore hands and back, muscle fever... I think that Severus overdid a little this punishment, especially when he doesn't know how hard is to chop something.
I'm curious what you will write next. Will Harry make some comment which Severus will wonder about and then start to see what is going in his home? Or will Severus catch Ian in his crime? Or Harry will not keep calm with next accusation and will do something drastic?
    Well, update soon, please! =o)

Good story. Snape is really an awful father though. Guessing he brought up that they were out of healing ointment to remind Harry of his past transgression but to Harry it would simply sound like 'we don't care if you are injured/hurt - we don't care about you.' Poor kiddo.

Ian is a nasty nasty person - Snape too. Poor Harry could use some work gloves - he will likely get blisters swinging that ax - not that he would let any of the hateful people around him know about them though. I hope it takes a long while for Harry to trust Snape. Snape has seriously misjudged, mistreated, and neglected him. Thanks for the angst fest.

Lovely angst. Poor Harry. Snape just doesn't seem to have any loving paternal feelings towards his son Harry at all. Most parents don't derive pleasure from punishing their children. Snape being quick to believe the worst of Harry is in character. However, as a potions master he should be more observant. He is a smart man. He saw Harry's piles of money. What motive does he think Harry has for stealing those cards? Harry could have purchase as many as he wanted for himself. Yet- the most indulgent thing Harry (who has next to nothing) bought on their trip to Diagon Alley was treats for his owl. Then - Snape needs to think about what Harry's motives were for handling the healing potions. Awww so much potential for future angst.... It would be more satisfying if Snape actually cared more about Harry though. He needs to realize a child as spoilt as he believes Harry is would not complete all the chores/tasks he has given Harry nearly as well and quietly (without complaint.) All things considered - Harry has been a real trooper very strong. Snape needs to look after Ian though because that boy is turning into a monster. Thank you so much for writing and sharing!
