Excellent story so far. Draco as a friend would be awesome
ARGH! i just want to thwack Snape -and- Ian. Ian's behaving like a spoilt little brat, and he's turning out far more like Snape's perception of James than Harry could ever hope to. and way to blackmail a child, Snape, truly you are the best of parents/guardians. -_-
if they don't become insta-friends or something, then yeah, i think Draco and Harry could become good friends! maybe Draco sees how Snape's treating Harry or something, i don't know...
Ian is such a snotty little brat. He's turning out just like James Potter, right in front of Snape's eyes, that blind old bat.
Can we have nice Snape now....please?

I'm really enjoying your story, though I must say...it is almost physically painful to see Ian and Snape's blindness and selfishness and all-around unfair treatment of Harry one chapter after the next. And yet, even though I'm just screaming inside for something to get just a little bit resolved--for just a tad bit more sense to shine through--I admire your restraint in keeping your characters firmly as you've written them. But I still hope that Harry's world can get a little brighter, soon. I know that Snape has improved a tad bit since seeing that the Dursleys left Harry, and Harry has noticed that the man has avoided teasing him on that issue, so that's good. And I guess, with the dream and all, Lily gave Harry a bit of hope, but asked that he be brave and patient. I have no doubt that Harry will do both, as that's just what Harry does. But my one plea for you is that, eventually, Snape and Ian acknowledge this. Not just their own mistaken perceptions, but the strength of Harry's character. I guess I just want a good, strong resolution (when it comes) to equal the great, angsty build-up of unfairness.
Gee--sorry for going on so long. I like the idea of having Draco befriend Harry. If nothing else, to give Snape and Ian a little more perspective--to throw them for another loop to get them out of their deep holes in the way they see Harry. And also, because Harry could use some unbiased perspective to help him feel less confused. Anyway, I hope this didn't sound like a review criticizing you. I'm always eagerly awaiting your updates--I just had to write some of my thoughts about it all.
Anyway, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I happen to be a sucker for angst, so I might tend to go a bit overboard with it sometimes. However I also love happy endings and I promise you that things will become a little bit brighter soon. Snape is defenitely going to start liking Harry over a night but he will start to see things a bit different. I do plan on making them all get along decently, though there is yet a great distance to go, so to say. Don't worry about going long in your reviewing, I love long reviews! And it didn't sound at all like critizism. Thank you for taking the time to write down your thoughts!
Snape really needs to make Ian understand that he has no need to be jealous of Harry. I'd like to see Harry have a good visit to Diagon Alley - he deserves one nice day at least. No to a friendly Draco - why would he and Harry suddenly ignore two years of animosity?

now Harry thinks snape is horrible than dursleys. good for you snape. what a stupid man.
i hope when snape begin love his son, sirius come and Harry choose sirius. because i really want Harry doesn't forgive easily snape and ian.

Harry is stay with snape all summer but snape still can't understand what really going on? snape is really stupid.
i still don't like ian. actually he can be dursley' twin.
poor Harry. he is lonely and unhappy. i hope malfoy friends with Harry.

I dont know about harry and draco yet, but considering Snape is draco's godfather,he and Ian must be really close. maybe they'll band a few times against potter, until Ian starts coming around?
