Ian should go into Hufflepuff - because he is currently totally loyal to Snape - but maybe with time, he could become loyal to Harry, too?? (I say as I always hope for happy endings)!!

Ian seems to have a lot of Slytherin in him although it may make an interesting story if he is in Gryffindor! Thank you for updating

I'm surprised that Harry didn't jus tell Snape that his aunt and uncle dumped him off. Snape would be able to check it out easily enough. I guess he was just ashamed of what happened. We haven't seen very much of young Ian so I can't really guess where to put him.
