    Snape is idiot. Now He know that Harry is his son and what? Nothing!
    How can you deny a child?
    Over the Why Harry did not participate? Is concerned the his life.
    I hope that quickly understand his mistake.

    Yes, Snape is an idiot. I like idiot Snape - he's really got to get in some angst. Later on his reasoning will become a bit clearer. 

    Frankly I just didn't want Harry in this scene, so he got to stay at home with his muggle relatives. He got a letter though.

    It was nice to get Harry's perspective. Too bad that neither Snape warmed up to him during the first year. I look forward to seeing what happens when you skip ahead in time.

    Ian's dislike of Harry, and fear that his father will like, and want Harry instead of him is so very well written. Great nine-year-old perspective. I do feel very bad for Harry throughout all of this, but you've captured Ian's insecurities quite well.

    I feel so bad for Harry at the end. The ambiguity as to how Harry came to look like Ian is nicely written, and offers two very plausible possibilities for the similarities.

    Excellent opening chapter. It's very intriguing. I like how you introduce Ian, and how Snape tries to dissuade his son from getting to know Harry Potter. I'm hooked.
