I’m re-reading this story, after having just finished “My Secret Father”. I’m impressed that you wrote two totally different stories along a similar theme.
This first chapter was so immersive that I finished it feeling as if I know so much about this world already. It’s absolutely magical how you do that - introduce us to a story with such depth, detail, and feeling that I feel invested in it from the start. I hope that Harry gets recognized soon, as his anguish is palpable.

I think it is totally normal for Snape to not have feelings for Harry. He doesn't know him and while he might feel responsible for him, that doesn't mean he loves him. I bet he didn't love Calen right off, especially with that delightful attitude of his.

I loved this story, sad, but very, very good. Thank you for writing it. I only have one complaint: It should have been longer! :)
I've re-read this so many times and every time without fail I cry. I might cry again if you don't write a sequel at some point.
