Very sweet story. I'm glad that both Harry and Calen got a family, and that, at the end, they were starting to work out their differences. Nicely done.

I'm glad this ended well.
I almost stopped reading when Calen gave Harry alms, because it's heart breaking and I didn't want to see a child going through that pain. I'm glad I continued reading, though!
To be honest, for a while, I wanted August to adopt Harry instead. It bothered me how Severus could just callously cut a child's hair like that -- he had overstepped his bounds as a teacher because that could've caused a child great trauma. I don't think he acted as a teacher, though. Just a father who didn't know how to protect his sudden child and acted like a big bully.
Snape's good, though. He's not there as a stellar father but he's trying. I think that's enough.

Amazing chapter! Poor Harry. The scene between Harry and the Snapes was perfect. Brilliant writing!
This is such a good story! I liked the ending, with Severus and Harry coming to an understanding and the hope of a relationship with Calen. Is their any chance you would consider writing a sequel? I really like these characters and would like to see more of them. Well done!
