    I think Dudley will be jealous when he sees the cool new sheets and covers that Harry has. Maybe having something that simple will help the Dursleys get more used to magic.

    I was interested in your Petunia. She is usually depicted as such a nasy, uncaring woman and this version sounds more like she and Vernon don't fully understand or know how to deal with Harry's accidental magic. One would think that Muggle guardians and parents would be given some counseling on how to deal with a magical child. Good thing that Severus went to check since Petunia knew him and was grateful for the help.

    Author's Response: Yes, I was tryingto show Petunia as less antagonistic to magic; maybe remaining fairly friendly with Lily/Snape.

    I'm glad that Severus knows more about Muggle fashion than Albus. Though it might have been interesting to see Petunia's reaction to that outfit. (What would the neighbors say?) I look forward to finding out what young Harry did.

    Haha, feed him some bacon and he'll be your Friend for life ... loved that. Although Petunia seemed oddly fine about Snape showing up. I would have thought she would be horrified he had found her considering she blamed him a fair bit for taking Lily away. But perhaps I will find out why later ... so onwards!

    Author's Response: She was just relieved a wizard had arrived to sort things out. I wanted everyone (well, not Vernon) to be a little nicer than canon. Maybe there was not such a mega falling out between Petunia and Lily, so she's just a little more tolerant of magic and not as hostile towards wizards. I obviously failed to convey that picture!
