I find it a bit magical that Snape is the one playing pranks and executing mischief in this story. :P Professor, indeed. It amuses me greatly.

Author's Response: I had way to much fun with that. I seem to recall giggling with glee on numerous occasions writing this one! Thanks for the feedback, Dream! So happy I could amuse you for a time. :D

I do have a special love for the OCs you have utilized in this tale. They're all so nicely rounded and really add to the story. Bravo.

Author's Response: Not going to lie, I internally squealed for joy when I read this review. It's great to hear you feel the OCs have added to the story. My hair goes rather grey adding new people to an already established world. People are rather quick to get the pitchforks sometimes, so lovely to hear you liked them! Cheers, Whitetail.

Ah, poor Severus and Harry both. Finding out that you must room with your most hated student or teacher, respectively, can't be all that good for an already fragile mental state. It'll be good for them, though - this way they'll be forced to actually see one another instead of what they have come to expect.

Author's Response: Definitely agree with you there on the shock value that would have on a fragile mental state! I'm pretty sure it would do me in if that happened to me ... :S Thankfully Harry is a strong one, and yes, there is a lot of opportunity there. :) Thanks for the review, Dream!

Ah, Remus, Remus, Remus... you should know better than to promise any such thing - especially when it comes to poor Harry. Ah, well, at least he's right about some things. Good man, Remus. Always did have a soft spot for him.

Author's Response: Yeah, he's one of my favourite characters - however flawed. Thanks for the review!

Ah, I had I nearly forgotten how masterfully you had depicted the downwards spirals of rationality and self-loathing and depression in this tale. Poor boys - really feeling for them, all over again.

Author's Response: Hi, Dream! Thanks so much for dropping a line. Great to hear from you again! :)

I was both delighted and horrified to discover that I apparently never finished reading this fic. On the one hand, YES, new material to read! On the other, WHAT? How did I miss the rest of this?

In any case, after rereading DWLF (which was just as lovely the second time around), I determined that I must now read this one through from start to finish. And I know I'm gonna love ever minute.

Author's Response: Haha, glad you got around to it! I am terrible for starting to read something then forgetting about or losing the book. :S I am so glad that found Mental again. Also - lovely to hear you're rereading DWLF. Goodness, I groan quite heavity if I try to re-read that one, given how far I've come in writing since. ;)  I like to think I've improved ... Anyway - always nice hearing from you! Glad you are still enjoying the crazy stuff I've posted on this lovely site. - Whitetail

At the start of every chapter, I tell myself that I won't cry. Before the end of every chapter, I'm reaching for the tissues. Why must you write the right words that hits me right in the heart, you jerk??
Ah, well. It has been a cathardic journey, and every display of Snape's humor made me laugh (especially the mint, I don't know why). I felt satisfied by the ending, too. I applaud your effort and love you have worked into this story, and I eagerly anticipate the next. =)

Author's Response: I'm ... er ... sorry? ;)  I am so glad that you were able to connect so with this story. I really wish I could say there was going to be a next story from me on P&S, but it's looking rather unlikely at the moment given that my original novel has been taking up so much of my time. Thanks so much for your review, and my apologies for my slow reply. Despite the time it took me to get to it, your review means a great deal to me! Cheers!

This was such a great story, it should be made into a movie

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review, Reader629! Sorry for my slow reply - what a busy year! This was one of the most challenging stories for me to write motivation wise, so it is so great to hear that you enjoyed it so much! Cheers!

The denim quilt! How cool that Severus would pack it! And the lesson that he and Harry both learned, that someone will be there for them, no matter what, is what will keep them both going, no matter what! I can't tell if this is really The End, because it says To Be Continued... but if you do write more, I'll definitely read it! Thanks! 🐢

Author's Response: Oh, haha, it says To be continued? Oh ... it's the end. I always forget to check those boxes! Oops ... What a busy month too. Hopefully I didn't confuse too many people. Thanks so much for reviewing! I am so glad you enjoyed the story, and it was awesome to read your comments along the way. High fives - Whitetail. P.S. nice turtle!
Title: Return to Hogwarts 05 Jun 2015 5:00 pm

Hippogriffs on the Hogwarts Express! Lovely detail about how the train is used when the students AREN'T on it! And now, at the end, Harry and Snape walk through the door together. Always before, Harry has been on his own having to face the entire school without an adult in his corner. But now, not only does he have an adult to walk in with him, it's an adult who knows EXACTLY what he's feeling, rather than merely paying lip service to Harry's emotions, saying,"I know how you feel", when obviously , the average adult could NEVER know how Harry feels. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of them.

Author's Response: Hey Shadow! Glad you liked the train details. I always did wonder what they did with it for the rest of the year. And I'm glad you enjoyed Harry and Severus walking in together. You're very right - it is so different from how Harry has usually had to deal with things! Thanks a lot for your thoughts! Cheers, Whitetail.
