I just found you story. You write well and I will be watching for the next chapter. That said, how is it that both Draco and Hagrid assume that he is a first year when you've stressed how tiny Harry is?
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm really glad to have a new reader. The way I see it, Hagrid assumed Harry was a first year because it seemed to him that Harry was new to the wizarding world as he had gotten lost on his way to Diagon Alley, and muggle-borns only find out that they're wizards when going into their first year. I think Draco assumed that Harry was a first year because considering the way Harry held his own in the conversation, Draco couldn't imagine him being any younger, and he may have also assumed Harry was a muggle-born because he didn't recognize the Malfoy name.

I'm loving this story! I'm happy to help make your first week back to school a good one since you've just made my night. Loving the tension and growing care between H and S. Also, Hagrid, yay! The one thing I've noticed that can be a little off-putting is that Harry and Snape speak alike; generally 11-year-olds are less formal. But it makes some sense when you realize how much Harry's read. I'm looking forward to seeing how Harry handles Hogwarts, though it makes me anxious just thinking of all the potentially-triggering situations he could soon be getting into. Good that Snape will be there. Favorite moments: Harry on a broom and Harry spouting scientific facts (I learned cool new things!). I hope that Jade somehow returns/Harry can find her with magic. And I hope Hermione befriends him; she seems like a sensible friend to have in any universe. Anyway, good luck with school! Thanks for posting.

Harry learning he had money will have to be dealt with, the feelings of anger at not being aware of it. How the money could have helped him.
Good to see the mixed feelings with Snape as Harry met Draco. He needs a family, security and love nut also needs to have someone to trust.

It's nice that Harry meet Hagrid. It might help him to realize that he has some more allies in the wizarding world. Love Harry's reaction to Draco - it was great how he put him in his place, but the jealousy aspect adds another layer to the story and will give Harry some food for thought on why he feels the way he does. It's great fodder for self reflection and reflection upon his relationship with Severus. I can't wait to see how Snape figures it out and what his reaction will be. Thanks for the update!
