    Great chapter I liked the contrast of fire and water if reflected the contrast of Harry's mood thank you. A good story that is completed is "Eight" try it if you haven't read it.

    I thought I read most of the stories on this site, but this one is particularly well done. You strike a good median between harshness and real in your depictions of the abuse and the characters something like that might result in. I hope Snape figures out what is disconcerting him soon--don't draw it out too much please.

    Thank you for another fab chapter!! I'm loving the rapport Snape and Harry are slowly building up, particularly with the increasingly parental attitude Snape is taking towards Harry. However, one thing I really didn't like with this chapter was Harry's horribly elitist views towards school. He's clearly intelligent but he seems to think this makes everyone else stupid and school a "warehouse for idiots". Just because they're not on his level doesn't mean they don't deserve to be educated. (equality rant over) But other than that it was great!

    Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think. About Harry's attitude, I did deliberately make his view toward school seem arrogant. Not because he's arrogant as a person, but as a defense mechanism. His whole life, he'd been shunned by his family and school-mates for being freaky, abnormal etc., and, after a while, Harry gave up on trying to win approval and held himself apart, viewing those who hurt him with disdain. And furthermore, as much as he tries to seem aloof and uncaring, he really is very insecure, so the disproportionate irritation towards those who are not as smart as him is a classic sign of insecurity. I do not in any way condone such an attitude, I just think that his view is realistic under the circumstances. Thanks for pointing that out, I'm glad I got a chance to explain :) Responding to your comment actually made me examine Harry's behavior more deeply than I had originally done.

    Hi, just read your new chapter and I really liked it. I am so looking forward to the next chapter, the update of your Fic is the one I await most eagerly, because you take your time to develop your characters and do not rush things. I am always eager to know what will happen next.
    BTW: I think this is only my 2nd posted review ever, so it tells how much I like your story and want you to continue posting it.

    Congrats on writing such a great story. Me and my cousin are loving it so far! You've made such an interesting
    character out of Harry. :)

    You can trully tell how great this chapter was by how me and my cousin both yelled out "DON'T DO IT, HARRY!" Like a couple of dorks.

    That sure got us a couple of stares at the library. LOL. :D

    I find it really interesting that instead of the whole evil Dumbledore idea used in a lot of fan fictions, you've changed it so it's Harry, not the viewers, who is lead to believe the worse of him. I'm really happy that you didn't go with that overly used idea. :)
