Thank you very much for your explanation. If Severus was half-hearted about Obliviating Harry, then it makes sense it faded in time. Magic is all about intent after all. Thanks!

Author's Response: You are so welcome! It makes me glad when people have questions because it really says that they were paying attention when they read, and that makes me so happy! ^_^ Hopefully in the sequel I'll go into the obliviating thing a little more! Hope you are staying warm! Have a great week!

Awww, so sad. I wonder how Harry can remember what had been Obliviated from him. I mean - either he was Obliviated and he shouldn't remember it?

Author's Response: Hey there! Thanks so much for taking time to review, I really appreciate it! :D The spell faded because subconsciously Severues didn't want it to work, he didn't want Harry to forget him and that emotion translated into the spell and made it fade every year, and when it faded Harry gained his memories back...I should really mention that in the author's note at the end of the chapter, lol. Thank so much again! Hope you have a fantastic weekened!

omg, yank my heart out why don't you?
i thought it was just a simple bonding fic until the candy corn... damn!

that specific spot would be awesome in the pensieve; when the potions wearing off and his appearance changing back as he eats the candy...

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks so much for taking time to leeve feedback, it means a lot to me! Yeah, the sequel will probably have a few different scenes that readers didn't get to see, (because this will have been the 5th year Snape has done this). I'm getting so excited about the sequel, it looks like it's going to be a long one! Hope you have a fantastic week, and thanks again!

*sniff sniff* Oh, that was a sad ending! But if you do write the sequel, I'll look forward to reading it. Hmmm... It sounds like Severus didn't put quite enough power into his Obliviates through the years. Subconsciously, he really didn't want for Harry to have to forget everything. That would be an interesting angle to explore in a sequel. Meanwhile, well done! And a belated Happy Halloween! :-)

Author's Response: Hey Shadowienne! Thank you so much for taking time to leave feedbcak, I greatly appreciate it, :) I'm definitely planning a long sequel for Christmas, I'm quite excited about it! And yes, the memory spell faded every year, just as the potion did (even though if Severus had just brewed it to be stronger it would have lasted longer). Thanks again! Hope you are having a fantastic week!
