And yes, Sev easily could have been killed if his cunning Slytherin side hand't taken over (although I like to think that he also had a glimpse at a Gryffindor side that he didn't know existed, as his unruffled and composure stemmed directly from the fact that he would do anything possible to protect his new family. Just one little note, that you may have noticed--there is one typo that is a little glaring. "Loose" is written instead of "lose" when Severus says "You'll never lose me again, Harry." Again, thanks so much for this! Author's Response: GAH!! I swear my "dee dee dee" side comes out with that word - I've struggled with accidentally adding that extra 'o' in there for as long as I can remember, lol. :) As much as I proof-read before hitting "Publish", I guess it's never as perfect as I want it to be.
