That was a surprise. It will be interesting to find out what constrictions there are on the oath Severus made. Dumbledore was taken by surprise and backed down, at least. I wonder where they think they found Harry?

Magical adoption? Somewhat surprising, but not as surprising as Severus's reaction. I like the fact that he is glad about it, rather than resentful.
If they can teach Harry how to switch between a parrot and a boy, this would be the perfect disguise until he turns 11. Parrot during the day. Boy at night where Severus and Minerva can teach him to read and write.
By the way, Harry's mother is Lily. Not Lilly.
Author's Response: It is a wonderful disguise, although it remains to be seen how many people he'll have to hide from.
As for the Lilly thing, I do that all the time. *grumbles about pesky muscle memory* Usually I manage to catch it before I post. Thanks, I've uploaded a revision to fix that.

Author's Response: Awesome! Sweet is not an adjective normally associated with (canon) Snape, so I've been amusing myself with trying to achieve it without making him overly saccharine. Only time will tell.

At last! With the speed Snape got him to the vet (she fitted in very well) Erebus should be reassured as to the depth of his feelings. Can he be persuaded to risk the change back to Harry though, if he even knows how.
Author's Response: And what will happen to a boy who was last a human in a 4 year-old body and is now in an 8 year-old one? So many, many fun possibilities.
Excellent chapter. You showed Snape's anger very well, and I love how Erebus joins in with his disapproval. I wonder where Bumbledore went, and who he has actually found.

Bumbledore...in yellow and black striped robes like a clumsy bumblebee....no wonder Erebus called him a Puff.

Great way for Severus to figure out Harry's location ... loved the vet's name.
Author's Response: I had fun trying various permutations of Greek and Latin roots and prefixes. (Yup, I'm a bit of a word nerd.)
I like how you incorporated your own character so well.... The end was funny, Harry being literally under Snapes nose the whole time, and Snape being careful not to scare him away
