Always watching. 😉
Author's Response: Oh, yeah!!! It's a bit creepy to think about, but I suppose Harry and company can get used to anything! Thanks for reading! 😊
That was a good, creepy Halloween story. I like the way the stage was set with the cloudy, windy full moon Halloween night. Going to see the cursed tree sounds like the daft sort of thing they would do, too, just for the thrill of it.
Author's Response: Hi! Many thanks for your feedback-- I'm embarrassed that it's taken me so long to respond, but I truly appreciate your comments! I had such a kick setting the scene, and I'm glad you enjoyed the creepy atmosphere! Thanks again for reading and reviewing! 😸
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Thank you for entering the fic fest!
Author's Response: Wow! So glad you liked it! (Technically, I didn't really enter the Fest, since I didn't use one of the P&S Halloween prompts, but I always do try to write a Halloween story--and a Christmas story!--even if I don't get anything else written in that year. I've become totally obsessed with quilting, and I keep telling myself to put down my needle and pick up my pen... Hee!) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! Happy Halloween! 😸

Very creepy! Thank you so much a brilliant Halloween story
Author's Response: Thanks for saying so! I had such a terrific time telling both stories, and there were several times when I nearly creeped myself out! So glad you enjoyed it! Many thanks for reviewing! Happy Halloween! 👻
Great story! Creepy, clever idea and perfect characterisation. a proper Halloween tale. Thank you.
Author's Response: Thanks!!! My inspiration was a monochromatic artwork on Google images of a stark black, gnarled, bare tree silhouetted against shaded blue circles radiating out from a full white moon. Whoa! If only I could come up with a plot to go with the Dancing Tree, which was what had IMMEDIATELY popped into my mind to describe the tree image. Well, that preceded the site prompts, so I kept turning my original idea over in my mind... I had basic idea of story in two parts, but essentially, this storytelling was stream-of-consciousness writing from beginning to end over two days' time, plus additional revision a few days later. *kicks self for waiting so long to get started* But it turned out okay, and I'm so glad you liked it! Happy Halloween, rosina! 🎃
