Very intense start thank you
While I have been worried about the kidnapped woman and child being Alton's, knowing that he hadn't done anything to hurt Harry is. (hopefully) a good sign. Thank goodness for the Doctor's oath!
And congrats for making Dudley the hero of the hour.

This had fast behind one of my favorite stories that I've read in a long time. Thank you for updating regularly and with so many chapters at once.
Keep up the great work, and thank you!
Really good start. I especially like the following lines as it brought up very definitive imagery: "Albus knew he would find Severus in here; on the bed in the far right corner of the room under the enchanted window showing the sun setting across the black lake.
Severus Snape was still in his black dress robes from earlier that day, his head cradled in his hands propped up on his elbows"
Only thing I'm a bit confused is I can't tell if you are talking about Muggle Medicine vs Wizard medicine causing the issue. In the beginning it's implied taking the wizard medicine caused the issue, but then near the end it's the other way around.
Author's Response: Thank you! If you're only in chapter 1, then you'll get more information as you go through the story (I believe chapter 4 givesthe first real look at what happened), but there wasn't a really good option either way, is where the choice comes from in the title. I don't want to give too much of it away, but Harry did do wizarding and that was the end result.

Poor, poor Severus. At least Albus knows what is going on now.
So I had a thought: If Harry wore something to suppress his magic, would it help protect his core? If something like that existed, of course.
Snape really needs to get custody of Harry. I could see the Dursleys understanding Leukemia and the need for chemotherapy. Maybe they would be smug about a Muggle thing working better than a magical thing. Maybe they would prefer it if Harry lost his magic.
This is a very interesting story so far. But so uncomfortable to read about Severus, so much angst. The sooner the closer he gets to Harry, the better.
Thanks for writing and sharing! I really hope that Harry gets the help he needs.

Wow. So is Harry sick in this timeline? Snape must think so, right? Snape has a lot of work to do to get caught up with Harry.
Fantastic setup and pace! I'm loving this story so far!
