Definitely maths! Glad that Colm has given Severus a few much needed pointers to dealing with a child. Its also good to see that Severus has a long way to go in his own career, with much work to do - all too often he appears to have got a Potions Mastery in no time at all.
Always love a shopping trip, and it seems Harry did too.
Nice original start. Its good that looking after Harry can give Snape some definite advantages in progressing his own path.
Your stories NEVER disappoint. I do hope the teacher reminded Severus that even high school kids are shown how to do things before being given homework! You don't just give them the book and send them on their way. And Harry is much younger than that. His toys are awesome, I would love a dragon myself. What was the box the toy shop owner put in the bag?

I love the character of Carcroft - someone more experienced with students (especially Slytherins) who Severus admires. I’m also really looking forward to Harry’s experience attending the school in Hogsmeade. Thanks so much for this great chapter.
