Reviews For No Bed of Roses
Wow a very instructive chapter. Harry has shown some of his powers and his protective streak, I think some students will think twice before having a go at Holly again. Severus needs a good shaking, he is still so blind to what is really going on. Thank you a great chapter Author's Response: Severus really does need a wake up call
Oh, nice! I wasn't expecting an update so soon! 😁 LOVED the vindictiveneas shown by Harry. I figured he'd put a sticking charm on Yaxley and was so happy to find out I was right so quickly. I also really liked how Harry stopped as soon as Holly told him to. That shows a lot of restraint. Random thing that I found interesting: It's interesting how both Draco and Snape thought Harry was too close to Ginny and Hermione respectively because he's dating Luna. It makes me wonder if they both are just making that judgement because of their bias against Harry, or if it also shows how they view friendships between men and women. Author's Response: I felt like the duel needed to be shown given how the last chapter ended and as it's one of the shorter chapters I was happy to post it. I was trying to show that as much as everyone knows that Holly listens to Harry above all else, Harry pays Holly in kind. It's not all one sided, hence Lucius's realisation at the end. In regards to Harry/Luna with Ginny & Hermione - it's a combo of what you've said. There's definitely bias and also their mindset Author's Response: I felt like the duel needed to be shown given how the last chapter ended and as it's one of the shorter chapters I was happy to post it. Author's Response: Indeed - I want to see someone try again
Author's Response: Severus has a long way to go still - it must be exhausting hating someone this much. I'm glad the duel was well received 😊😁
Author's Response: Thought it was particularly vindictive...
Wow wwhat a lovely long satisfying chapter, thank you so much. i loved the skipping sequence as Dean is a character whose often ignored but here he is a part of the group. Holly is a darling with attitude and I'm glad Severus had a small victory with her over the sandwich. Interesting what you said about how she feels about him at the moment whst an ending I hope a lot of shield spells are ready to protect her! Author's Response: Severus and Holly's relationship is in the baby step stage. Feeling like Draco and Severus take turns being in her bad books. Perhaps one day, they'll both have a good relationship with her at the same time. Or maybe they'll both be in the doghouse at the same. Who knows?
Oh no what a cliffie! Great long chapter for us thank you, I hope the shield charm saves Holly. I think your scene with Hermione was good, and the points made were fair but I think she would be more sympathetic to Harry and Holly. I loved the skipping routine and how the gymnastics are going Thank you so much for updating your excellent story.
Author's Response: Thank you. The scene with Hermione was hard to write because I didn't want Hermione to feel like she was being ganged up. The point of this was for Lucius to be selfish about not wanting to mark more than what he needed to and so he capped Hermione's grades, which is what led to the complaint from Hermione.
Oh no, a cliffhanger! I wonder if the kid was being controlled or polyjuiced. That's the only explanation I could think of to risk the wrath of everyone who cares for Holly in that room. Heck, just Harry is a force to be reckoned with. Anyway, great chapter as usual. Author's Response: I love how you think that no one would dare, however, I can quite confidently say that there's no spellwork or polyjuice involved. This is just good old fashioned stupidity and arrogance. Author's Response: Someone who has no common sense...
