Even though Harry knew it was to good to be for Uncle Vernon to be actually interested in his life, it's heartbreaking all the same. As for the information he has to memorize, I'M overwhelmed. My gosh. I do kinda wanna try that method for reading though. Read it to read it, then study it. Sounds like it would work better than how I made it through school. I feel like I should start studying something just to keep my brain active. Looking forward to next chapter.
Oh the worlds that you build! Just like with Building Doors, I'm just enraptured with all the information and lore you're dropping. I was so wary of the other two apprentices and I'm glad they were helpful and mentor-y. In contast, Harry seems so young and vulnerable and I just think he deserves to have someone invested in him. This was so much fun to read. Favorite chapter so far! And then the hard hit at the end. Ahh. Poor Harry ?
Oh I absolutely adored all the mushroom hunting and teaching in this chapter. It's so cool that the apothecary was teaching Harry and not taking advantage of his lack of experience and naivety.
This story was fantastic, looking forward to the sequel being written! Author's Response: Thank you.
I'm here to say that I loved this sentence: "Harry reached forward and took his arm, and a moment later found himself on a foggy windswept moor with gentle hills rising up on either side of him." It just transported me and I felt like it was easily for me to visualize. I have a hard time with that, but this was a complete atmosphere shift in my head which was dope.
Wah! ? Dudley being like "You're kinda cool" just made me have feelings. They deserve to be cousins. And gosh the bruise from Venom and sympathy(?) From Petunia waa jarring. Living the characterizations!
Looking forward to the sequel! Author's Response: Thanks!
I like how the results of the test were reasonable, not fantastic. Thanks! It actually took a bit of work from me trying to strike that balance, and come up with reasonable numbers that didn't calculate the score too high when I had planned on him getting about 70% on the test :p
I am sooooo loving this!!! I've felt like I've been holding my breath ever since Umbridge targeted Harry, and now I can finally breathe again! These last two chapters had me tied up in knots of uncertainty -- I can't imagine what it would have been like to actually live (survive) this experience with the Potions Board in real life. I do realize that Harry and Snape are just fictional characters, but the plot twists in your story have me totally invested in them. Exceptionally well done!!! Looking forward to the next hill on your roller coaster! :)) Awesome, thanks! I'm glad you're liking it. This one has been a bit of a roller coaster. Sometimes my stories do end up kind of twisty and turny. In another fandom I wrote a long fic (finished) that I had jokingly titled just for myself in my work notes, 'One too many plot twists no one sees coming but all weave together,' :p
Short and sweet! Also he clearly needs some help on the Law section of the test LOL Author's Response: He really does haha. That's ok, he's got a whole 'nother year to study :p |
