Interesting description of how the tests work. I like how Harry handled Umbridge. The Hufflepuff’s reaction to Harry was well written and an angle I hadn’t thought of.

Harry just doesn’t realize what Snape is doing for him - all he can focus on is the past. When he does see what is happening, his attitude will change. Nice illustration!
I’m really enjoying your descriptions of the potions aspects. It immerses us in Harry’s reality. There’s also great enjoyment in seeing Harry excel in an area he has historically struggled with (especially in Snape’s domain of expertise). Harry’s playing a clever, but dangerous, game in DADA by engaging instead of keeping his head down. I hope his strategy doesn’t backfire! It’s striking that he has to pretend again in that classroom, as his need to pretend has been a recurring theme in your story. I’m looking forward to the point where he can simply be real with Snape about all aspects of his life and not have to pretend. I hope that Harry starts that process by at least engaging with Snape on the social turbulence he’s currently facing. Thanks for sharing your Bingo card document - I’m so impressed!
I like the descriptive aspect of the potions! It makes the story feel more real and filled out. Loving this new story by the way

Shame on Seamus!!! And that other jerk -- that's carrying the concept of Hufflepuff loyalty to an unprecedented extreme. My jaw dropped soooo far... Poor Harry. He may well end up living in the book nook, if that's what he'll have to contend with this year. But accolades to his "Slytherin" circumnavigation of Umbridge's baiting. Am wondering if Harry will eventually turn to Snape for guidance...

Thanks for the swift update! Harry’s in a tough spot with his peers. I hope the apprenticeship gives him some needed structure, focus, and hopefully support through the challenging times ahead. Harry navigated being put on the spot in a superbly Slytherin way. The video was amazing! I love seeing the library nook come to life - how cool! Thanks for all the effort you put into your wonderful stories.

Really enjoying this story!
Oooh, the book nook is awesome! I could LIVE in there! You might consider having Harry keep his Invisibility Cloak handy, just in case he needs to flee from Umbridge and "hide in plain sight" in that cozy cubbyhole! Looking forward to seeing how Fifth Year plays out with McGonagall acting from behind the scenes against the pink toad, while Harry and friends are on the front lines. Also, how Harry's apprenticeship might alter his ability to deal directly with Umbridge, and the consequences if he can't keep a low profile. (Like, when had he EVER??!) GREAT CHAPTER!
