    I edited the formatting for you so it should be fixed now. :)

    I love this story. It's so raw and vulnerable. Having Harry bullied by older students is new.

    Two things I noticed while I was skimming the story: halfheartedly is one word. And when you start quotation marks the first word is supposed to be capitalized, even if it's a continuation of a sentence. :)

    Harry and Snape are wonderfully in character in this one.

I'll admit I've always been a bit unclear about dialogue capitalization so thanks for clearing that up! :) I have a soft spot for this fic and really hope to get a sequel written someday for it that tackles the bullying issue in more depth.

    Awwww, I loved this. How Snape understood everything without Harry telling him. I love your version of Snape. I'm so glad that Filch took Harry to Snape in the first place. Thanks for writing and sharing!

    Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so pleased you like how I write Snape. He's one of my favorite characters to write. Lucky Harry that Filch randomly brought him to snape (probably thinking Snape would punish Harry the worse out of the staff). I'm very happy to have written this for the bingo contest you set up!

    Awwwwwwww! I loved the ending. I'm glad that Snape was there and able to figure out what was going on with Harry. He's just a first year and Snape is right, he deserves to feel safe at school. I love it when Snape catches Harry at a lie and just knows. Thanks so much for writing and sharing!

    Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really love Snape looking out for Harry and trying to help him even if Harry isn't sure how to go about getting the help he needs. I love the dynamic between Snape and Harry depending on the different years and there's something particularly vulnerable about a first year/pre hogwarts Harry having Snape swooping in to take care of things.

    This was a very moving short story. Thanks so much. I would love to read more, if you do come back to it! I really like how clearly Harry sees his peers life perspective in contrast to his own. Your version of Snape was terrific, though Filch was especially obtuse.

    Author's Response: Thank you! I definitely have plans for a sequel :) I know there's a lot that still needs to be addressed like the bullying and Filch being horrible, and of course I'm looking forward to Snape being there for Harry as well!
