but at the same time I am screaming at Harry cuz HAS HE NEVER HEARD OF STRANGER DANGER??? We know that this Snape tiny-80-pounds-soaking-wet-Harry does not. Hopefully when Harry is older Snape with bring this moment it would look like this
Harry:*to Hermione* My sense of self-preservation is Perfectly FINE. Snape:*comes out of the shadows*Which is why not 10 minutes after we meet you drank an unknown substance and fell asleep on my couch. Hermione: *AGHAST* YOU WHAT!!?? Harry: Well... you see...Ummm his cat was very nice... Snape: Need I mention the fact that it was Halloween night and I a stranger reveiled that I knew were you lived, your name, and performed magica in front of you. Hermione: HARRY JAMES POTTER!!! HOW THE HELL ARE YOU STILL ALIVE. *Enter Lecture Time* Harry: *so snape later* You really are never going to let that go are you Snape: *very pleased with himself* No I will not Author's Response: But his cat was nice . . . Ahaha! This made me laugh out loud when I read this, yet it?s so true. Poor Harry, Severus certainly did take advantage of a gullible young boy, but hey, they both benefit from it. It?ll be a great story for Harry?s grandchildren for sure.

I love that long paragraph where Severus sums up his actions, motivations, and feelings for taking Harry in! And ooh-la-la -- multiple adventures in Paris, with unexpected-but-familiar characters -- fabulous!!! I know it says "The End" below Chapter 3, but if you ever get the urge to continue this story (again), I'd definitely love to read another installment!!! When the "bat" is away, the cats will play! You've written an amazingly-detailed chapter throughout! Lots of drama, angst, and love. :) Petunia certainly had some nerve, didn't she, and not in a good way, either!! I truly enjoy seeing a radically different approach to Harry's life -- I had never imagined him being home schooled at all, but your development is brilliant! And I'm so pleased that Harry has a set of friends, not just isolated with Snape away from Hogwarts. Well done! Perfect ending (no spoiler) to this chapter!!! |
