I liked Harry's zinger " That's Destroyer of Voldemort to you". Author's Response: Ah thanks! That line got added in the last edit. I realized that section was such a good chance for Harry to learn things about himself. And to realize how much he'd defined himself based on being in Snape's phpere. Originally it was mostly drama and a measure of how far things had come for Snape.
We're the witches a fun aside? Or will they matter later? And I apologize for earlier reviews that are incoherent. The spell check on my older kindle fire tends to go rogue sometimes.
And Rogers being freaked out by it.
Author's Response: I was trying to work in the "Muggle" notion of witches for a while, glad to finally get them in. And due to Harry's POV it was possible to leave it up to the reader just how creepy it was going to turn out.
Author's Response: That scene really worked. And it just started out with me like Harry thinking, dang he should wear a costume and just went from there. Harry needed some closure on understanding Big D better.
Oh poor Snape and the guilt he feels and poor Harry too. Author's Response: I was relying a bit on insular Magical society ignorance in part there. They are living behind the times on worldlyness too I'm thinking here given how few Indians there are at Hogwarts. |
