Snape's temper got him into some trouble. Fighting with coworkers is a bad look and Henry will be right to fire Snape. Harry's right though- Snape couldn't continue at The Yow once the shop is open. They just have to make it until the shop is generating money. Getting fired for violence is hardly going to help his custodianship situation though. I love Harry and Snape working together in the garage. I especially love that while Harry is doing some real chores like sweeping, he's also allowed to be a kid and do things like paint race cars. This was a long chapter and I loved reading every second of it!
I love this chapter. Harry teasing Snape by calling her Tabby is too cute. I'm a sucker for good Snape-Harry conversations and this was a good one. Snape speaks to Harry with respect and in an age appropriate manor. Harry's concern about Snape's mood needed to be addressed. Snape, as usual, popped off harder than he should, but got ahold of himself in the end. It would have been easy to just pat Harry on the head and tell him to run along. I'm so glad Snape didn't do that. He really does need to get an emotional outlet arranged though. Tobias needs to get his shit together. Harry is going to be a rock star!
Congratulations on getting back into the writing groove! Harry was really pushing his luck with Severus this time, but it shows the depth of their relationship if he is willing to go to such lengths to ensure that Harry stays with him and has a stable home. Thank you for updating

Snape's biggest issue with all of this is how it may threaten his guardianship of Harry. He's so devoted to him- I love it. Tobias was an idiot to take this risk. I hope it pans out. It doesn't really sound like there's a big demand for businesses in Cokeworth though. I love Harry imagining himself as a mechanic. It is right up his alley. A rockstar mechanic would be fun.

Look at Snowdrop being friendly-ish! Tobias has money? How? And why isn't he using it to contribute to the household? Who sent the radio? Dumbledore seems likely but Malfoy have an eagle owl. Poor Snape. He really should have told Harry about his birthday though. Having 8 year olds read Dickens is nuts- Harry and Snape are correct. |
