I felt for the teachers in this chapter! Nativity plays are a nightmare, I once had a king and his page have a fight on stage! Wonderful fun, thank you.
Genie has clearly got some issues. We know there's drugs but it seems like there's more as well. To cause a scene at your kids' nativity play is pretty fucking selfish. Poor Nicky and Snowdrop. I always feel so bad for Snowdrop in particular. I loved last chapter when Severus corrected her behavior. She hated it, but lessons like that demonstrate that people actually care. Gammy tries so hard with her but there's just so much going on with the girl. Tobias is an ass. It's not enough to show up- you have to actually watch Harry's performance, you selfish old fool. The smile, nod, and well done from Severus meant the world to Harry. Way to go Snape! The Padiernos family showing up made me smile. Haha- Harry saw rock concert boobs.

But at least under Severus Harry has dreams - he didn't under the Dursleys.
Get this boy a guitar! Teach him to rock! Find him a garage and assemble a band! Rock Star Harry Forever! Also- if he keeps hanging around Snowdrop and Nicky Severus is going to have to explain sex soon.

I appreciate the way Severus speaks to Harry. He doesn't talk down to him. Sometimes he actually needs to be reminded that Harry is actually a small child. I'm glad that he's going to help with the nativity play. I wish he hadn't made it seem like such a burden though. I'm looking forward to any Snape and Snowdrop interactions. Ironically, Snape is the best to handle her. He knows what it's like to be abandoned by a parent and to lash out. Additionally, his experience as a teacher also means he knows how to manage behavior. I still think Ms Tibbons is after Snape. We'll see what happens.
Hope you had an enjoyable birthday celebration. Loved the social workers, when you were first describing Mrs Plunkett I thought it might be Umbridge! Thankfully it was no one from magical society, but Harry's name and photo being out there looks worrisome. Thank you for updating.
They handled that very well. I like how Snape reassured Harry about his hosting skills. I actually like Ms Plunkett quite a bit. Ongoing visits with Child Welfare might be stressful for them, but maybe it will foster some good conversations about Harry's place in the family. Obviously having Harry's face plastered around everywhere is going to cause some problems. I am very glad that Tobias is in AA. He needs to be sober to be living in that house.
