I’m finding myself wanting to yell at Dumbledore and Snape in this. Snape’s bullying here is as bad as James Potter’s, worse even because Harry in under Snape’s authority. His pettiness in giving Harry only black clothing even after knowing Harry has been bullied and abused elsewhere is really frustrating. Why are they putting him in the Slytherin dorm, knowing that his side wound isn’t fully healed. Normal roughhousing with friends could cause an injury. Never mind that his year mates have reason to dislike him. Typical Dumbledore! No thought or oversight for Harry. He trusted the Dursleys. He trusts Snape despite Snape’s obvious verbal abuse.I rarely get this emotionally involved in a story.
