Reviews For The Rapture of Canon
Author's Response: I should have added ". . . with your child," but . . . I have a weak stomach. :o) Glad you found it amusing, and thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! :o)
Author's Response: Ron kind of keeps the denouement at bay, building suspense. He's not usually good for much in a conversation, but I used him like so much Kleenex. :o) Thanks for reviewing!
And I have thought that it was awfully funny to have Colin disappear and then this Nigel kid come on the scene, lol. If the original Colin actor couldn't do other movies or got too old, why not keep the name or have a kid be Dennis Creevy? Why come up with a completely new kid who's not even in the books? But I loved your explanation! Awesome job! Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it. As I mentioned in another reply, there's a LiveJournal icon out there, something like: "Angry? Scared? Concerned about the future? At least Snape isn't pregnant." When I saw your challenge . . . I knew. I originally thought to explain 'Nigel' the same way as in that 'Beetleborgs' episode where Jo was placed under a spell, causing her to look completely different . . . but only to her friends and the audience. Those not in on the secret saw the old Jo. But that wouldn't explain the name change. What irked me so badly about the whole Colin/Nigel thing was that it wasn't necessary to replace him at all. When the original Dumbledore actor died, obviously that called for a stand-in. But Nigel had a useless (and completely overacted) silent cameo in GoF and briefly served as the guinea pig for the DA in OotP. He never spoke, and I watched GoF a good fifty times before I thought to wonder what the deal was. Had he been absent from those scenes, do you really think anyone would feel the loss? I can't wait to see what they do to canon in HBP. Thanks so much for reviewing!
Author's Response: All I could think about was a LiveJournal icon I saw once. Something to the tune of: "Angry? Scared? Concerned about the future? At least Snape isn't pregnant." I personally don't care what people write, but I truly don't understand the impetus behind mpreg. Just can't wrap my mind around it, somehow . . . and I think I wasted too much time trying. :o)
Too funny!! Too too funny. Strange but funny. Oh, I needed a good laugh. Kristeh has got to read this. I'm sure she never anticipated this interpretation of her challenge. Author's Response: Ah, the dulcet tones of a blindsided reader. Mission accomplished. :o) It says something very scary about fanon that the moment I saw the photo, I thought of Snape getting pregnant. And now that Kristeh herself has reviewed, I can say that it looks like you were right. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Weird can be fun . . . except when it actually is mpreg. Then it's simply weird. At least IMHO. :o) |
