Absolutely fantastic!
I loved their snarky interaction and how in the end Snape actually took care of Harry and he even thanked him for it. I also liked that they were still very much in character while still showing care and understanding.

The latter part of this story had me laughing out loud! Hippopotamus, indeed! Very glad Snape finally started to see Harry past the end of Snape's own nose, but sorry Harry had to suffer so long, although a good part of that was his own fault. 😉 Well developed, not rushed, and optimistic ending. Nice!
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
