The Great Hall was abuzz with the chatter of students, all discussing the events of the day and making plans for Hogsmeade weekends. The gold and scarlet Gryffindor table, usually the loudest and most vibrant, had an unusual cloud hanging over it. In the center of it all was Harry Potter, staring blankly at his plate, prodding his treacle tart with a fork. His usually bright green eyes were dull, overshadowed by dark circles so pronounced they could've been painted on.

Across the days, Harry had found himself waking up in the most bizarre places: once on the Quidditch pitch with a broomstick beside him, another time in the Forbidden Forest, closely surrounded by a circle of curious centaurs. And just this morning, he'd been woken up by Peeves, who gleefully sang a shrill song as Harry found himself hanging upside down in the Trophy Room, his feet somehow tied to a chandelier. Harry couldn't recall when or how he had fallen asleep, let alone how he'd ended up in these odd locations. Every time someone asked, especially Hermione, he'd brush it off, putting on a brave face. But the constant exhaustion was wearing him down, making it harder and harder to concentrate on anything.

From the shadowy corners of the Great Hall, Professor Severus Snape observed the Boy Who Lived with an intensity that few could match. He noted the unmistakable signs of fatigue, the hollow look in Harry's eyes, the slow way he moved. For years, the Potions Master had been quick to write off Potter's antics as a bid for attention or a result of his reckless nature. But this? This was something entirely different. That night, as the students made their way to their common rooms, Severus decided to follow Harry, cloaked in the shadows, to unravel the mystery that threatened to consume the young wizard.
