Vernon Snaps/Dobby Arrives Early by Romanticide

Summary: Dobby tells Harry not to go to Hogwarts before First Year, drops a cake on Uncle Vernon's guests and leaves. After Vernon's deal is ruined with the Masons, he snaps and beats Harry to the brink of death. Albus sends Severus to get him when he doesn't show up and his letters are still unopened (Hagrid never showed up.) Harry is rescued by Severus,and sorted into Slytherin after he heals up.

• Harry gets two/three familiars -- Hedwig, a snake or a cat.
• Pettigrew is caught by either one of Harry's pets or Severus' pet.
• Harry gets in a fight with Ron Weasley after Lily being called names, etc.
• Obvious parallels of Tobias and Vernon.
• Severus finds out Harry is his son -- Dumbledore never told him.
• Severus helps Harry adjust to writing with Quills while he is recovering
