Hi,

I'm Zang. I'm a new member here. Well, I never joined any fest before, could it be in LiveJournal or anywhere. So, sorry if my questions sound silly because I'm still a green author here.

Because this is Severus and Harry as father and son figure, or mentor, and I know that slash Harry/Snape isn't allowed, can I write slash of Snape paired with other male characters such as Lupin, or even Sirius? Of course Harry as the son, the godson of Sirius, etc.

Second, since I know that the theme is about holiday, does the word count? Like, it should be more than 1000 words, or only multichaptered allowed? I want to join the challenge but it's been almost a year since the last time I wrote in English. Just thinking about starting again writing in English makes me nervous, and I don't think I'll be able to write with many words in that language.

Third, can I also post the fanfic in fanfiction dot net? ffn is like my home. I store my fanfics there. And in LJ too sometimes.

I've read some great fanfics in fanfiction dot net about Snape and Harry as father and son. Then it inspires me to make some fanfics about them but not in romantic way.

Well, I'm babbling too much.

Welcome to the site Zang. I will answer your questions:

-Yes, you are allowed to pair Snape with any other character, except for Harry.

-You are allowed to write a short story, or a multi-chaptered story--your choice.

-Maybe someone can help you translate your story, or a Beta can help you. What is your first language?

-You may post your story on Fanfiction.net, but we ask that you wait until it is posted here first, because the Admin will be the one posting the stories, not the writers, because we will be posting a story a day. Then the voting will start, but after that, you are free to do what you like. It is 'your'story, after all.

Hi Pandora,

Thanks for the answers. My first languages are Indonesian and Javanese. There's an American in my workplace. Maybe I'll ask her to help me with the choice of words, grammar, etc.

Sorry I just replied your comment. Mostly I'm on my mobile and the capslock/capitalized letters do not work there. I don't know why.
