I am enjoying your story. I like the transition Snape is making in his feelings toward Harry. I noticed the misuse of a word in this chapter and I am not sure if it was an accident, but I thought you might want to know about it. You wrote "Seeing Potter shrink a little dishevelled all hope he might have had earlier." Disheveled means to be disorderly or untidy. Perhaps a better word in this case would have been "Seeing Potter shrink a little, evaporated all hope he might have had earlier." just a little constructive criticism. Keep up the good work. I am on to the next chapter now!!

    Author's Response:

Thank you very much for reviewing.

It's not an accident :) I'm not a native speaker, so I sometimes use a dictionary ... And my Italian teacher always said, "Il tradutore è un traditore" (The translator is a traitor), meaning some of the words I use would never be used in that particular context by a native speaker. In this case I can't tell you whether or not I used a dictionary or I simply used the wrong word. Thanks for explaining, though.

This is a really good story. Very, very angsty. You are keeping Snape in character. Poor Harry -- very in character too going with your depiction of him as empathic.

Thanks for writing!!! Look forward to more.

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad to hear your think they're in character given the circumstances. Next chapter should follow soon.
