Hello fellow Swede! (I didn't know there were others here!)
I have to say, I absolutely adore this story. I generally dislike stories where Snape has another child because they tend to make Snape totally out of character; a tender, romantic family man which he's really not.
But you manage the balance of keeping him in character without making him a bad father to Ian. Very very nice.
Being a horrible h/c junkie I really think you should make the abuse slightly more important than you seem to intend. Maybe Snape doesn't need to immediately change his relationship with Harry when finding out but it will affect Harry in many different ways and I think that should be emphasized.
All and all, a GREAT story.

I laughed that Snape does not approve of those that favor one child over another. Which brings us to the heart of the matter - that while Snape knows Harry is his son he does not truly see him as such. Good chapter - I liked the game but wished it has gone on quite a bit longer. Looking forward to the next update.
Oh now I *really* can't wait for more. I appreciate how you're taking your time with this-- I'm enjoyably frustrated. :)

Thanks for the chapter! It's nice to see Snape finally seeing something other than James Potter when he looks at Harry. In this chapter, he voiced Harry's similarity to Lily on several occasions, and even noticed something not unlike himself in the boy. If this can continue, I imagine his opinion of Harry and treatment of him will continue to improve. Then, of course, he needs to start seeing Harry as Harry, independent of his parentage. Anyway, I like the way you're giving them an opportunity to open up to one another. Hopefully Severus can continue to correctly read and understand Harry's hesitation in opening up to him, as it seems he is beginning to. Can't wait for more!
I love that Severus is trying to reach Harry, but it is so sad to see that Harry really doesn't trust him. I think that is a very realistic response, though. I don't think a child who has been abused and abandoned would be quick to share personal details with another person who has rejected him for 2 years.
