I'm glad Snape's letting him stay. What about his birthday? Harry assumed that Snape wouldn't let him have his friends over, but Snape's not that cruel. Is he?

If he doesn't let his friends over, then Harry will go mad with no human contact other than Snape. And if he does, then they'll probably get into some kind of trouble. Tough choice.

Why did Malfoy come over?Did Narcissa remember who her house guest was? Well wil Snape be exposed as spy or will he be ableto somehow save the situation? As you mentioned adoption in the summary I guess he is going to be exposed, that would clear the way for adoption.
