Reviews For For Duty and Honor
Author's Response: :) Thanks! Well, it'll be updated again in a few days...
Author's Response: I'm afraid we've got a wait-and-see. I don't know exactly what Snape is going to do, actually.
Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it.
Great chapter! You should bring this to the workshop! I like your speed of writing. Post another shapter soon! Author's Response: I'll think about it, Perry. Dan did say to bring anything, even fanfic, to workshop, right? ;) I should be writing chapter six about now, I guess. Am a bit blocked. Glad you like this little bit of AUness.
This first chapter was amazing. The story flows really well so far, and I love the new concepts you've introduced. It's already a very interesting read and I very much look forward to more. You are doing awesome with the characterization and Snape's whole role in the scheme of things. Keep up the wonderful job, I now have something else to look forward to after work!! You are awesome, please keep it up!! Author's Response: Thank you! I always try and climb into characters' heads before I attempt to write them. I'm planning on a slow evolution of Harry's and Snape's relationship... we'll see how far it goes. Weekly updates, hopefully.
Author's Response: Thanks! In the American Muggle world, teachers have to have some sort of documented evidence before they can report abuse--it has to be more than vague suspicion. While I don't know the specifics in the UK--the references I found didn't go that far--I'm assuming it's pretty much the same, because accusations of child abuse can absolutely ruin lives...
Mhhhh, that sounds good… Will Snape even volunteer to take him in? Somehow I can imagine it… But please go on soon! Author's Response: We'll see. I am, however, trying to go against the norm of Dumbledore forcing Snape to take Harry. Glad you're enjoying it!
Author's Response: Thanks! As I've said before, hopefully I'll be able to do weekly updates.
Author's Response: I agree, actually. I was rereading OOtP and realized that the logical person to find out about Harry's less-than-steller home life was Professor Snape due to the occulmancy lessons.
Author's Response: I've always thought him a rather interesting character. <g> I mean, he's the mysterious man in black--and there must be some pressing reason why Dumbledore trusted him so much. He can't be all vindictive snark and anger... |
