Reviews For For Duty and Honor
Author's Response: Caring? Hm, not so sure. <g> Possessive, yes. Doing his job, yes. We'll have to see...
Author's Response: You'll find out, I promise. I'm alternating POVs with chapters while we make it through the rest of the school year, so it's Harry's turn to talk next.
Author's Response: Fairly soon, I promise. While I do have buffer, I prefer not to eat all of it up before I've finished writing the story.
Author's Response: I'm aiming for once a week, but we'll see.
Oh this is such a great start! :) I can't wait to see where you're going with this. You are doing great keepign Severus in character, and the way he handled Dumbledore was interesting. It gave him a bit more personality as he proved not to be the obedient -though reluctant- pawn most of the other stories portray him. Keep the good work, and I hope you update soon. Author's Response: Thank you! I'm not saying that Severus is a darn nice guy, but I do think that considering his tenous background, he wouldn't stand for any of his students being abused. And with the Muggle laws being what they are, I simply transferred some of them over to the Wizarding world. And our Sev is Slytherin enough to get a guarentee that the child wouldn't be sent back. Aside from that, nobody can be obediant all the time. I think that Severus is stubborn enough that he'd be rather insistent--especially in a case like Harry's in which he was placed in a household to protect him from our would-be supreme evil overlord.
Author's Response: Thank you! This is my first attempt at Harry Potter fic, actually. I aim for as IC as I can manage, and I'm planning on a very slow evolution of their relationship and altering the OOtP timeline a little. I'm hoping for regular updates, but I can't guarentee anything. This is a WIP, so it's not finished, though I do have some buffer.
Author's Response: Thanks! I always wondered why no one noticed that Harry's homelife wasn't very good. I mean, when a child comes back much, much lighter after the holidays, there must be something wrong. And with the way they dressed Harry compared to Dudley's attire, why was it never noticed in Primary school? The next chapter is from Harry's POV, and the chapters alternate that way. Frankly, with the abuse that the Dursleys canonically give him, it really wouldn't be that much of a surprise if he was physically abused as well. Glad you're enjoying it! |
