This was a really good story - I agree, there were so many things that should have been done for Harry, that the Dursleys had intentionally not done, and Severus would be an honorable guardian and see that all would be taken care of - and while doing so, fall in love with 'his' child, for that is what all the caring would turn Harry into, in Severus' mind and heart!
I notice it has been a few years - will there be more of this, or a sequel?

I assume that this story has been discontinued. That's too bad because I have enjoyed these first 17 chapters. It is well written and seems to be headed in an interesting direction. If there were more to read, I would gladly continue reading. Oh well.
Author's Response: Sooner or later, I'll finish it. It's just that I have a three-month old, a two-year-old and a five-year-old....
I came across hour story and it is hard to put down. Great concept of duty and honor. Snaps ss a character really was not explored well in the books and thankfully a great actor portrayed him.
You did an excellent job showing an abused child. Abusers know how to manipulate just about everyone. I also liked Snape having a wife and child. A friend stays forever but sometimes with lover's one remembers only the ending.

Well...you have me totally hooked on your wonderful story. I really hope you continue it soon.
That last part was simply lovely. It's holding on to that love which will help him through.
